What people hire for Halloween
- Highballs: the workhorse for punch, spritzes and mixed drinks, 36 to a crate for $50
- Cocktail coupes: 150ml, for a margarita, a martini or anything you want to look the part, 25 to a crate for $35
- Grappa glasses: small and stemmed, good for shots, 49 to a crate for $50
- A drink dispenser: $14.95, fill it with punch and let people help themselves
- Pilsners: if the night is mostly beer, 25 to a crate for $50
Single glasses are available too if you only need a few more.
How many to get
For a party where people are standing and moving around, allow two glasses each, because a glass put down is a glass forgotten. For a dozen kids and their parents, a crate of highballs for the grown ups and a dispenser of punch usually covers it.
Tell us the headcount and what you are pouring, and we will size it for you.
Timing
Halloween is Saturday 31 October. The usual hire is Friday to Sunday: collect on the Friday, party on the Saturday, and bring them back on the Sunday. If Monday suits better, tell us.
Real glass and a houseful of costumes do mix, as long as the glasses come in crates. Everything has its own slot, so they travel safely and pack away fast at the end of the night.
