Breakages, the friendly version

Love a glass? Keep it.

We are a service business at heart, so we honestly do not mind if a glass goes missing or finds a new home on your shelf. There is a small cost to cover it, and that is the whole story:

Love a glass? Keep it, that is fine by us.
Break one or two? Honestly, no fuss.
Just send the crates home when the party is done,
and cover any keeps.

The plain version: any glasses you break, lose or decide to adopt are charged at replacement cost (see below), and we simply ask that the crate comes home (or $175 if you would love to keep that too). It all goes on one final invoice once the glasses are back, so nobody is chasing small amounts.

The things people usually ask, answered plainly.

How much does glassware hire cost in Sydney?

Crates are $50 to $75 for a three-day hire, which works out to about $1.50 to $3 a glass depending on the style. Washing is included in the price, there's no separate cleaning fee.

Do I have to wash the glasses before returning them?

No. Return them dirty. Washing is included in every hire, so you can pack the crates at the end of the night and hand them straight back. One small favour: if anything sticky went in, like a strawberry daiquiri or a frozen margarita, give those glasses a quick rinse under the tap. Left overnight, fruit and sugar set like cement. No soap or scrubbing needed, just a splash of water.

How long is the hire period?

Three days as standard. That gives you a day to set up, the day of your event, and a day to recover before returning them.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver and collect within 10 km of Northbridge, for $40 each way on orders of $100 or more. That means both sides of the Harbour: Manly and Dee Why to Lindfield and Pymble, the city, the inner west to Balmain and Leichhardt, and the east to Paddington, Double Bay and Rose Bay. Everywhere else it is pickup only, free from Northbridge NSW 2063, any size.

What happens if a glass breaks?

Breakages happen at parties and we're relaxed about it. Replacements are charged at $9.95 a glass, or $14.95 for a red wine glass, or $175 for a crate. Love a glass? Keep it, that's fine by us too.

What glassware do you stock?

Luigi Bormioli lead-free crystal in seven styles: white wine, red wine, highball, pilsner, trumpet flutes, grappa glasses and the Palace champagne flute, plus a 163ml Libbey Embassy coupe and a classic champagne flute. We also hire out a retro glass drink dispenser with a tap and stand.

How do the glasses come?

In crates, with every glass in its own slot. The crates stack, have handles, and one person can carry a full one. Fourteen fit in a RAV4 with the back seats down. They go back in the same crates, dirty.

How do I book?

Send an enquiry with your date, guest numbers and glass styles. We confirm availability, take a deposit to lock it in, and you either collect from Northbridge or we deliver. The rest is invoiced after your event, payable within 7 days. If you cancel within 72 hours of your event, the deposit is not refundable.

Is there a minimum order?

Not for pickup. Collect a single glass or a full crate from Northbridge, whatever your event needs. Delivery needs at least $100 of hire.

Do you hire for weddings?

Yes. Champagne flutes and trumpet flutes are popular for the toast, and cocktail coupes for the cocktail hour. For a Sunday wedding, just ask and we'll extend the hire to four days, collect Friday and return Monday, at no extra cost.

What areas of Sydney do you cover?

We deliver anywhere within 10 km of Northbridge, on both sides of the Harbour: the Lower North Shore, Manly and the Northern Beaches as far as Dee Why, up to Lindfield and Pymble, the city, the inner west to Balmain, Glebe and Leichhardt, and the east to Paddington, Double Bay and Rose Bay.
